Silenzioso Ixrace Mk2 Carbon Forged Honda CB1000 Hornet (SP) 2025-26

Product Information

Product Overview

Give your Honda CB1000 Hornet a distinctive race-inspired appearance and exhaust note with the IXRACE MK2 Carbon Forged Silencer. Designed as a compact and lightweight slip-on exhaust, the MK2 combines IXRACE's short conical profile with a distinctive forged carbon fibre construction.

The silencer body is manufactured from forged carbon fibre with high-temperature epoxy resin, providing excellent heat resistance and a unique patterned finish. At just 180 mm long and approximately 0.9 kg, the compact MK2 design complements the aggressive styling of the CB1000 Hornet without unnecessary bulk.

A removable dB killer provides flexibility over the exhaust character, while the required link pipe and model-specific fitting components are supplied for installation. Special fitting requirements apply to the CB1000 Hornet SP due to its original exhaust valve configuration, as detailed below.

CB1000 Hornet SP – Important Exhaust Valve Information

The CB1000 Hornet SP is equipped with an original exhaust valve. When fitting the IXRACE MK2 silencer, this valve is bypassed.

We recommend removing both exhaust valve control cables – one from the exhaust valve and the other from the servo actuator. Although removing both cables is not strictly necessary, leaving a cable in place could cause problems if it becomes restricted or unable to move freely, potentially placing unnecessary load on the servo motor.

The IXRACE link pipe incorporates an internal twin-pipe design to replicate the effect of the original valve configuration:

· At lower engine speeds, exhaust gases are directed through the larger internal pipe.
· As engine speed increases, gases can flow through both the larger and smaller internal pipes.

Standard CB1000 Hornet: The standard model does not use the same exhaust valve configuration, so these additional steps are not required.

For a useful visual explanation of how this type of exhaust valve operates, see the following video. It demonstrates the EXUP valve on a Yamaha R1, which operates using a similar principle:
