We all want that perfect ride, and investing in an aftermarket performance exhaust is one way to achieve increased power, improve your look and save weight to see you through your adventures this summer. The only problem is, what exhaust should you go for? You’re not alone in this thinking. Many bikers, whether you’re an experienced rider or new to bikes and aftermarket products, can struggle to pick a suitable exhaust for their bike and what they’re wanting to achieve.
In our latest blog, we’re going to look at our top 10 picks from our trusted brands which are guaranteed to make your look sound and perform better handpicked by our experts. Please note some of these exhaust models are currently only listed to 2020 where we're waiting for a manufacturer update, but they were so good we had to include them.
We have been distributing Termignoni for over 15 years and we can safely say that they are the ‘Italian Sound’. This includes the racing silencers with decat to connect to your existing stock headers and a Sprint Performance Air Filter and T800 Upmap specially designed to increase the power and torque of your Streetfighter. Our final Termignoni pick is the Relevance Full 2:1 System Carbon Silencer, compatible for the Yamaha MT-07 2013-20 models. Although the silencer has an homologation code, the exhaust is only fully homologated when used in conjunction with the catalyzer which is supplied with an homologation certificate and offered as an option. Due to the use of high quality materials in Termignoni exhausts they will push improvements in strength, speed and lightness for a better driving experience. The materials are also resistant to high temperatures which helps reduce weight.

QD Exhausts are the next brand we’re going to look at and one we’re a big fan of personally, as we’re the sole UK distributor for them. The Power Gun 21 Silencers for the MV’s has been improved with a new grid on the outlet ports and a new retaining system for the db killer. The grids are easily removable and underneath there are the db-killers that are held by a circlip, the exhaust can then be used without the db-killers and leaving the grids on. It uses the stock header-pipes and is created with a rockwool muffler and it is compatible with the original catalyst-converter. The improvement you can expect with this exhaust can be 2.5HP gain.

Next up on the list is the QD Twin Gunshot Titanium Silencers. This twin titanium Gunshot muffler set with thermo-injected magnesium endcaps is manufactured with the same care and level of detail all QD exhausts are and the performance benefits speak for themselves, with a 5.4HP increase without the optional decat pipe which can take you up to +12HP with performance mapping too. Stainless steel used in the build ensures it’s lightweight and an all round attractive look. A fantastic exhaust and one we’d strongly recommend for your Indian FTR 1200 / S.

Our last QD pick is the power gun titanium silencers for the MV Agusta Brutale bike and it’s a brilliant piece of kit. One big advantage straight away is that a full fitting kit is included meaning no modifications are needed. Once fitted, you can expect a power gain of 7HP (we need to note that this is in racing configuration mode) and the exhaust system is developed with specific volumes and flows in order to achieve the best performance result and the most aggressive voice - perfect for making you look, sound and perform better.

So, now we’ve covered what performance exhausts we’d personally recommend based on our experience with the brand and products, all that’s left to do is buy one and start enjoying the benefits of looking, sounding and performing better.
You can click any of the products we’ve recommended above, they will directly link to those products where you can find out more info and purchase the exhaust. If you’d like to look around and try and find something more specific for your make and model of bike or something more your style, visit our full motorcycle performance exhausts store here.
Alongside our recommendations for exhausts, we would strongly encourage and advise you to look into DNA Performance Air Filters too, as they enable the engine to draw air at a higher rate to assist with fuel induction mixing and combustion. These, in our opinion are essential for maximising performance if you're investing in an aftermarket exhaust.
