Put simply it changes up & down the gears for you, controlled by buttons mounted on your steering wheel or handlebars or using a set of paddles ( cars only) clutch use is still required.
The Flatshifter Max is dual acting for both up & down shifts, and is very fast and consistent.

The Flatshifter Max is a fully electronic gearshift system which can be best described as an 'electronic limb' which is operated by two discreet buttons or (optional extra) paddles.
In the case of bikes, the buttons are usually mounted on the left handlebar conveniently beneath the thumb; in cars the buttons or optional paddles are mounted on the steering wheel.
The system is powered by the car or bike's electrical system and uses a powerful electrical solenoid to replace the action of the hand or foot for gear selection. Unlike air shifters, once fitted there is virtually no maintenance, no bulky gas bottles to fill or to inconveniently run out.
For full throttle clutchless upshifts and clutchless down shifts the Flatshifter Max should be used in conjunction with the optional Expert Flatshifter.

- Is it a Motorbike / Bike Engined Car / Saloon Race Car etc
- If its a bike engine car application - Do you push forward or pull back to engage 1st gear?
- Make, size (cc) and year of engine
- Is the engine fitted with Standard Carbs / Standard Fuel Injection / Jenny’s Throttle Bodies / Slide Carbs?
- Is the engine fitted with any type of forced induction - Turbo Charger / Supercharging
- Does the engine have CDI "Capacitor discharge ignition"?
- Is it a CBR1000RR? Bespoke blipper required. See Picture 3
