The Ducati Panigale V4 looks good wearing Termignoni

Termignoni's unveiling of the 4uscite Race System for the Ducati Panigale V4

For a long time, the name “Termignoni” was synonymous with “Ducati exhaust”, with the popular scarico-maker being a constant fixture in the Ducati Performance parts catalogue.

So prevalent was the brand, that if you see a turn-of-the-century (21st century, that is) Ducati clacking down the street with its dry clutch, chances are the exhaust you are also hearing was made by Termignoni.

But that has changed in recent years, with Slovenian marque Akrapovič supplanting Termignoni in Ducati’s good graces.

In the past years, Akrapovič has done a proper job of branding as the exhaust of choice for motorcycle exhausts (note the company’s many B2B marketing deals in MotoGP and with OEMs), with Termignoni seemingly all but forgotten…until today.

This is because Borgo Panigale’s flagship creation just got its killer accessory, with Termignoni helping shape the rather derivative design of the Ducati Panigale V4 into something that Ducatisti will recognize, and motorcyclists will remember.

As such, say hello to the Termignoni 4uscite (four exits) exhaust.

It is actually rather amazing how transformative Termignoni’s 4uscite exhaust design is for the Panigale V4, and it helps bring the modern four-cylinder superbike back in line with its heritage of pulsating v-twins spitting fire from their underseat exhausts.

Ducati didn’t invent the underseat exhaust, but it did and make it sexy. And now, Termignoni is bringing sexy back.

We wrote off the Ducati Panigale V4’s appeal because of how the Italian motorcycle manufacturer missed the mark on its design and place in history, but the Italian brand’s old colleague may have saved it.

For bonus points, Termignoni in recent years has made great strides in the quality of its product.  As for a price.... It's definitely going to be cheaper than the Akropovic

Updated 11/4/2018. Akrapovic Vs Termignoni - Which would you choose?

Now I know we don't always believe what we see or read across Social Media, Newspapers etc..... The following results below have been confirmed by Termignoni as correct. As Termignoni have not had the Akropovic System in the factory, they can't confirm if the Akro results are correct. This has been posted by an anonymous source.

But If the Akro results are true, It seems Termignoni have gone above and beyond. Will this sway you away from Akro?
