Waterproofing and Protection of TPZ Italia Italia Covers

TPZ Italia Italia seat covers are made with 100% waterproof materials. Seams are thermo-taped from the inside to provide up to 80% waterproof protection. Prolonged rain or pressure washing may lead to minor water infiltration — this is not a defect but a result of the handcrafted production and complexity of the stitching.

Covers with multiple seams or embroidered logos may show slight fading or limited water entry over time due to UV exposure or strong chemical cleaners.

To extend product life:

• Avoid prolonged sun exposure
• Use a protective cover during washing
• Clean with water and neutral soap only
• Dry the cover immediately after cleaning

Velvet-effect PVC is slightly more delicate than other materials. Although saddlery-grade, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure and drying immediately after cleaning to preserve appearance.

Installation Steps

• Remove the old seat cover and staples carefully
• (Optional) Apply a waterproof protective film between the seat foam and new cover
• Begin fitting the cover from the front, stretching evenly towards the rear and sides
• Staple the rear section with 3–4 staples
• Staple the front section with 3–4 staples
• Staple both sides with 3–4 staples, ensuring alignment is central
• If folds or misalignment occur, remove the affected staples, adjust, and reapply
